Dreamaze Book is operated by Dreamaze, a company registered in France (“we”, “our”, “us”).

We care about your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, how long we keep it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

When you use our website and services, we may collect:

• Contact and order details: your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses, and order information. Payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers.
• Personalization details: the child’s first name, age, gender, appearance preferences, and other details you provide.
• Photos and generated images: photos you upload and personalized images created for your preview or book.
• Technical data: your IP address, device and browser information, and website activity, including information collected through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate personalized previews and book images.
• Process payments, print books, and deliver orders.
• Manage your account, saved previews, and customer support requests.
• Send order updates and, where permitted, marketing communications.
• Improve our services and website performance.
• Meet legal obligations and prevent fraud.

Depending on the purpose, we process information to provide the service you request or fulfill a contract, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, or obtain your consent where required.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Photos and Data Retention

Photos and personalization details are used to create your preview and personalized book.

• Guest uploads and previews: cleared within 24 hours unless saved to your account or used for a purchase.
• Saved, unpurchased previews: kept for six months from creation or your most recent edit. Simply viewing a preview does not extend this period. At expiry, the associated photos, generated images, sharing links, and cart entry are deleted.
• Books deleted from your cart: the corresponding preview, uploaded photos, and generated images are also deleted and cannot be recovered.
• Purchased orders: retained for up to 24 months from purchase, after which the associated personalization details, photos, generated images, and production files are deleted.

Certain transaction, invoice, and accounting records may be retained longer where required by law.

You may request earlier deletion, subject to any applicable legal retention requirements.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share information only as needed with service providers, including:

• AI and image-processing providers that help generate personalized previews and book images.
• Hosting and storage providers.
• Printing, fulfillment, and delivery partners.
• Payment processors.
• Analytics, customer support, and marketing providers.

Relevant photos and personalization details may be sent to third-party image-processing providers to create your personalized images.

Your uploaded photos and personalization details are not used to train AI models, either by us or by the image-processing providers acting on our behalf.

All service providers that process personal information on our behalf are subject to contractual data protection obligations.

5. Cookies and Marketing

We use essential cookies to operate our website. With your consent where required, we also use analytics and advertising technologies to understand website activity and measure campaigns.

You can manage or withdraw your cookie consent through our website’s cookie settings.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link. We may still send necessary messages about your account or orders.

6. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls, secure connections, and protected storage.

7. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Request deletion or restriction of processing.

Our services are intended for adults purchasing personalized books. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.

Adults providing a child’s details or photo must be the child’s parent or legal guardian, or have appropriate permission from them.

Some service providers may process information outside France or the European Economic Area.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as European Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses. You may contact us for further information about the safeguards applicable to your data.
